Raj Singh, a Certified Hospitality Administrator, (CHA) is the long term General Manager of the historical and famous Sea View Hotel located on the ocean in Bal Harbour. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA), a professional association of hotel general managers and senior executives representing 160 hotels and over 350 allied members. Prior to assuming the office of Chairman, Raj Singh served on the executive and cochaired the government committee for the association.
Prior to his current position with the GMBHA, Raj Singh was an active member of the South Florida chapter of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals Association (HFTP) where he held the office of President and Chairman of the Board and is a former Certified Hospitality Account Executive (CHAE).
Singh started his professional career over three decades ago after graduating with a degree in economics and attending hotel school in Bad Hofgastein, a resort town close to Salzburg, in Austria. After, several internships in Europe he transferred to the hospitality program at Florida International University and earned a second major. He has held positions of general manager, controller, front office manager in various resorts and restaurants including The Doral Country Club and the Doral Saturnia International Spa Resort.
He has served on the resort and budget committees of the Village of Bal Harbour.
A recipient of a proclamation from then Mayor Ferre making him an honorary citizen of Miami Beach in recognition of community service early in his career led to his motivation and involvement in a positive way towards community service. His community service extends to his membership in the Bal Harbour Rotary Club where he has contributed to service projects both local and international;
Singh lives in Bal Harbour with his wife Neeta and his two children Bianca, a University of Michigan junior and Arman, a student at Miami Country Day School.
