SoBe needs a Grand

By Ray Breslin….

Angel Rivero, 12 year old student from SoBe Institute of the Arts

Now that Angel Perez, a gifted 12 year-old student from SoBe Institute of the Arts, has had the opportunity to play on Steinway Grand pianos at both the Steinway Gallery in Miami and in his orchestral debut with the Brampton Symphony in Canada.  He would like to launch a drive to get a Grand piano for SoBe Arts.

Naturally, he would like it to be a Steinway but right now, SoBe Arts has a couple of upright pianos and several electronic keyboard. These are great for lessons, but not for those who plan to make music their career. A performer wants and needs more. Angel would like to help the school that has been so helpful to him.

You can help! Please visit and click on “Help us get a grand.” Your contribution will make a difference to so many aspiring musicians. If you have a Grand piano that is not being used, you could get your own donation plaque by giving it to SoBe Arts. Maybe it’s time to re-decorate and the Grand piano just does not fit in. Think about it. Help Angel accomplish his goal to get a Grand for SoBe.  Thank you.
