When building on Lincoln Road there is no way to go but up and leading the vertical expansion in the heart of South Beach is Terranova Corp. With Lincoln Road becoming more “fashionable” with huge retails brands establishing store fronts on the busy road, Terranova is making it possible for retailers in need of property to enter the Miami Market.
Terranova is redeveloping three of its buildings into multi story structures that will accommodate 33,000 to 44,000 square feet in total. This kind of creative thinking is the only way to address space issues on a road that’s nearly at capacity. With over 6.5 million tourists, Miami ranks as the third U.S. entry point for high street retail stores. Terranova has hired Shulman & Associates an architectural firm whose principal Allan Shulman has redeveloped Lincoln Road since the 1990’s, including H&M that opened last year. He is currently working on 830 Lincoln, 801 Lincoln and 723 Lincoln Road, which will be redeveloped to accommodate the booming that is occurring on the busy street.
Mostly importantly, the buildings will fuse the ongoing growth of Lincoln Road establishments and its neighboring side streets. Side streets are booming with activity – like CB2 and Yardhouse – for example. Many see future retail giants moving further away from Lincoln Road and setting up shops further and further away. Terranova agrees and hopes to be at the forefront of that expansion.
