vHoliday Shopping SoBe Style:: Lincoln Road Boasts New Aditions for the Holiday Season

The holiday season means one thing for most people: shopping, shopping and more shopping. Lincoln Road has added a number of stores in recent months with the grand opening of H&M. The store’s South Beach debut is big news because before its November 8th unveiling, there was no H&M in all of Miami-Dade County. Not surprising, lines wrapped around block during the store’s first days. H&M, short for Hennes & Mauritz, is a Swedish retailer with locations all over the globe that aims to offer quality fashion at unbeatable prices for men, women and children. H&M has taken over the Lincoln Theater, an Art Deco icon, and transformed the interior into a modern, two-story shopping haven. When you hit Lincoln Road to knock out your holiday shopping list, be sure to check out the new H&M at 541 Lincoln Road, but the new shopping opportunities do not stop there!

Forever 21 is set to open a massive 39,000 square foot location on Lincoln Road this December. We can only hope that it will be open for holiday shopping! The store is in the process of completing renovations to take over the historic former home of the original Saks Fifth Avenue location at 701 Lincoln Road. The renovations will open up the interior of the building, as well as provide additional lighting with a third-story skylight. The space will surely be gorgeous once finished, and Forever 21’s trend-savvy, wallet-conscious styles are sure to excite shoppers.

In addition to the openings above, Osklen, Cubavera, Vault, Scotch & Soda and Maison Scotch, Blue Glue Bikinis, MET in Jeans, Bagghy, KOTO, Adidas SLVR and Adidas Y-3 have also recently opened their doors on Lincoln Road. In short, there is something for everyone on your list this holiday season. And, to celebrate successful shopping, visit one of the many restaurants on the pedestrian mall, including newcomers Juvia Restaurant located atop the Kerzog & de Meuron Building at 1111 Lincoln Road, boasting upscale cuisine and breathtaking views, Cooper Avenue and Khong River House, set to open December 17th. Finally, though it will not be open for holiday shopping, Dylan’s Candy Bar, set to open in January 2013, will be sure to please your sweet tooth this coming year. So this holiday season, instead of journeying to crowded, tension- filled malls, just head to South Beach and take advantage of beautiful Miami Beach weather while grabbing gifts for those you love.

Everyone is on edge during the holidays and time is of the essence, so before you trek across the causeways to fight for parking at area malls, remember your shopping options right here in South Beach. The Lincoln Road Mall has gifts for everyone on your list. As Lincoln Road continues development, the pedestrian mall has more variety than ever—affordable to luxury, trendy to classic and everything in between. In typical South Beach fashion, Lincoln Road is ever-changing, but the Miami Beach News is here to give you the low-down on SoBe holiday shopping.
