Councilwoman Robinson Teams with Barry University to Promote HealthCity of Miami Gardens Councilwoman Felicia Robinson spent time with Barry University Nursing students as part of a “hands-on” training in which the City of Miami Gardens was selected for community involvement in the field of health care and education.

“Barry is committed to serving local and global communities through collaborative and mutually productive partnerships,” explains Nursing Instructor Lauren Oates. “I was thrilled to be assigned Miami Gardens for a health initiative as well as other programs aimed at helping all residents live a full and healthy life.”

Barry University reached out to the City of Miami Gardens to facilitate a lasting relationship, recognizing that nurses are the backbone of healthcare and often obtain intimate personal knowledge of patients, their families and communities.
