ENJOY THE SOUNDS AND SAVOR THE FLAVORS OF HISPANIC HERITAGE

South Florida’s unique cultural environment allows all of us to celebrate our diversity. The city of North Miami invites the public to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this Saturday evening (September 13, 2014) at North Miami’s La Gran Fiesta Block Party from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. The festivities will be held at the MOCA Plaza located at 770 NE 125 ST. There will be fun for the entire family, as the block party features the sights, sounds and flavors of the variety of Latin cultures in our City.

Grammy Award winner Marlow Rosado y La Riqueña and Lisett Morales, La Mulata del Sabor, y su Orquesta will headline the live entertainment. The event will be hosted by model-announcer-actress, Daniela Cenzano, of Sabado Gigante, and her co-host for the evening, Freddy Silva. Be dazzled by dance performances from dance troupes, participate in a domino game or dance the night away! Food will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors from giant paella pans to gourmet Latin sandwiches.

Hispanic Heritage Month will be celebrated in North Miami through mid-October. For a full listing of events, visit northmiamifl.gov/celebrate. For additional information, please contact the North Miami Parks and Recreation Department at 305-895-9840.
