Domino’s® to Celebrate Grand Opening of New ‘Pizza Theater’ Store in Palmetto Bay

Store to award free pizza for a year to first carryout customer on Feb. 13

Domino’s in Palmetto Bay is celebrating its new “pizza theater” store by throwing a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m.

The store, located at 13623 S. Dixie Highway, Suite 144, features Domino’s pizza theater design which allows flexibility for a number of elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to the “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include a comfortable lobby, indoor seating, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features a chalkboard to allow customers to express their creativity or to leave feedback for the store team members.

In honor of the grand opening, Domino’s will award free pizza for a year to the first carryout customer of the day. The store will also feature prizes and giveaways – including Frisbees, koozies, key chains, pizza cutters and more – as well as a $3.99 medium one-topping pizza deal, valid on carryout orders from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. only.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to serve even more Greater Miami residents with this new location,” said Erick Ortiz, Domino’s director of corporate operations in Florida. “Our goal is to continue to develop a loyal customer following by delivering hot, great-tasting pizza at a great price.”

Domino’s in Palmetto Bay is also looking to hire additional part-time delivery drivers and full-time assistant managers.

“Domino’s is a fun place to work,” said Ortiz. “Our company truly provides a fantastic opportunity to those who show initiative and a desire to advance. Whether you’re looking to grow with the company or need a part-time job, Domino’s is the place to be.”

Ortiz started working at Domino’s as a part-time delivery driver in 1987. He worked his way up and now oversees corporate operations of Domino’s stores throughout Miami. He is not alone – more than 90 percent of Domino’s U.S. franchise owners began their career as part-time Domino’s employees.

Those who are interested in applying for a position should visit jobs.dominos.com or apply at the store.
