The village’s second annual Bridal Expo will take place on Sept. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Thalatta Estate, located at 17301 Old Cutler Rd.

The Expo is being billed as an opportunity for not only future brides but also anyone else planning a special event to meet with a variety of vendors and service providers, according to Fanny Carmona- Gonzalez, village Parks and Recreation director.

“If you’re hosting your mom’s 80th birthday party, your high school reunion or your daughter’s 15th birthday party, you’ll be able to find information on caterers, florists, party rentals, musicians and anything you would need to put together a special event,” Carmona-Gonzalez said.

Industry professionals who are presumably in the know will be there to advise on the latest trends in weddings and parties. The main house, carriage house and grounds — all the way to the water’s edge — will all be open for the Expo.

People can attend without registering ahead of time, but village staffers are asking that those who plan to go RSVP so they can estimate a guest count for the event. Carmona-Gonzalez said that she is excited about the return of the annual event and what it means for the community.

“The natural beauty of Thalatta Estate speaks for itself, but this event is an excellent opportunity to increase awareness and public use of this unique park facility,” she said.
