PALMETTO BAY, FL – SCORE Miami-Dade and the Economic Development Council of South Dade will host a free workshop for the region’s small businesses at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at the Chamber South bldg, 900 Perrine Ave.

The workshop will showcase the programs and services offered by SCORE Miami-Dade, an all-volunteer nonprofit that offers free one-on-one business mentoring to business owners and low-cost workshops on business issues.

The March 22nd workshop is just one of several the Miami nonprofit plans to offer in South Dade. Earlier this year, the organization decided to expand its workshops in the southern part of the county to bring its experts closer to business owners far from the organization’s downtown Miami location.

“It’s a great resource and we want to make sure it’s available to South Dade small businesses,” said Paul Neidhart, executive director of the Economic Development Council. “We recognize the value of SCORE workshops and bringing them here is overdue.”

The Economic Development Council of South Miami-Dade is a nonprofit that supports the expansion and retention of existing businesses. The group aims to increase the overall economic vitality of South Dade by attracting new, diversified businesses and employment to the area.
