Southwood Middle School recently won the 2014-15 Miami-Dade County Middle School Girls Softball Championship. They played Miami Springs Middle School in the championship game, which Southwood won 9-0. Southwood’s Hailey Miller pitched a no-hitter; Chloe Gallivan and Latricia Richardson hit home runs. The team, coached by Carol Shill, went undefeated all season. Team members are: Juliana Gambill, Melanie Michaels, Ashley Sutta, Zaari Colon, Diana Alicea, Courtney Carroll, Chloe Gallivan, Gabriella Kahlan, Hailey Miller, Latricia Richardson, Gigi Stouffer, Jaime Sobalvarro, Juliana Campos, Samantha Triana, and Natalie Menendez.
