St. Thomas Lutheran Church’s annual Fall Festival takes place on Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family-oriented event benefits local charities.

The fair will feature local craft vendors of all types and will have a “hotdog and hamburger café” as well as homemade baked goods and a rummage sale. There will be a raffle and a silent auction.

“The Fall Fair was started over 30 years ago and is organized by the Women of the Church,” said Diana Orme, co-coordinator of the Fall Festival. “It began with only crafts made by the women and evolved to include outside craft vendors about 15 years ago. The entire congregation now participates in the production of the fair. In the past three years we have included the raffle, silent auction and cafe to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s Faith House.”

They have expanded the number of donors this year for the raffle and silent auction and hope to have lots of winners. Other proceeds benefit Camillus House, Lutheran Services of South Florida and the Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services Inc. in Homestead.

St. Thomas Lutheran Church is located at 17700 Old Cutler Rd. in Palmetto Bay.

“The fair proves to be a fun day of fellowship, food and shopping that provides outreach to the community,” Orme said.

“We hope to see you there.”
