High school baseball programs across South Florida already are gearing up for the 2015 season. The southeast region of Miami- Dade is home to several teams with reputations for excellence, tradition and superior athletes. Many of those players have gone on to take their game to a higher level, moving on to play ball in college and some even going straight to the Major Leagues.
The South Miami-Dade community is home to a team that recently gained the highest recognition in Florida high school baseball. The South Dade Buccaneers notched a sterling 23-6 record last year and topped off the season by winning the state championship. The Buccaneers, along with other teams in the area, are suiting up for another year of competitive play.
