The experiences and activities we take part in as children stay with us and shape the way we process things and communicate throughout our childhood and into our adult lives. It is so important for children to be nurtured in a warm and caring environment with the utmost support from their educators, role models and coaches working together alongside their families.
For many years the mission of the Alper JCC has always been to provide the South Miami-Dade community with diverse social, cultural and educational activities for all ages. The staff at our community center is constantly researching new creative and interesting tactics to facilitate ways of educating our youth in their formative years.
Research in early childhood development proves that high quality education helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning. It also promotes independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity and problem solving – the fundamental skills that help determine success in adult life.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Glen Greenstein Preschool is an A.P.P.L.E. accredited and Five-Star “Quality Counts” Early Childhood Development program for infants, toddlers, twos, threes, and full pre-k 4s. Some features of the Glen Greenstein ECD Preschool include low enrollment limits and teacher student ratios with staff certified in early childhood development.
