Jewish Community Services opens new Family Counseling Office

JCS announced the opening of its newest office, JCS Family Counseling Services which provides mental health services for families by focusing on the prevention and treatment of emotional trauma in children from infancy through adolescence. The new office is located at 7875 SW 104 Street Suite 101 and primarily serves Pinecrest, South Miami, Kendall and all communities in South Dade.

More than 50 people attended the open house where County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava performed the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Following the ribbon cutting, Rabbi Harlig affixed the Mezuzuh to the door frame and blessed the new office and all who work or seek care there.
JCS Family Counseling Services provides an array of specialized mental health services for youth and families.

Clients range from infants, children and adolescents, to adults and caregivers. JCS offers mental health counseling for individuals, families, couples, and groups and targeted case management services for children 0-17.

In addition, JCS provides community outreach and prevention education and care coordination. Specialized therapy services are available to child, adolescent, and adult survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault.

With a strong reputation for providing quality services and programs, JCS Family Counseling Services focuses on serving all communities regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or language.

JCS believes that a strong family unit provides children with a sense of belonging and a critical sense of value and gives them a vital network for social support.

JCS Family Counseling Services receives funding from The Children’s Trust and South Florida Behavioral Health.
