The team of 13 girls competed in the 7th grade division and swept all four tournament games, including a 52 – 44 win over the St. John’s County Suns in the championship game.

The Lady Shottas are coached by Paul Smith and Jason Prosper and captained by Abigail Joseph and Brigit Barrial.

“The girls truly worked hard and played with great tenacity and emotion,” said Coach Smith said. “Coach Prosper and I are very proud of all the members of the team.”

The Lady Shottas Basketball Association was founded in 2012 and is a travelling basketball team based in South Florida. The Association is focused on developing strong women through athletics, primarily through basketball programs.
