Lights, Camera, Action.. It’s Showtime at Pinecrest Gardens

The past two weeks brought the first in the 2015/16 South Motors Jazz Series, our first seasonal festival, our first Family Friday and the first of an all new Family Fun Concert Series for Kids.

The season is finally in full swing with music, movies and more. Our Banyan Bowl stage has been renovated with beautiful hardwood flooring, our sound and lights have been seriously upgraded and this historic amphitheater is looking and sounding better than ever. We are especially excited about our continuing relationship with the Steinway Piano Gallery.

Through this special partnership we have hosted successful piano sales on site featuring new and refurbished Steinway, Boston and Essex Pianos (the finest pianos in the world) at highly discounted prices. This year was no exception. The turn out and community support was extraordinary. Steinway also sponsors the Gardens’ performing arts initiatives and will be providing us this year with a magnificent 7 foot Steinway Grand Piano that promises to bring an even greater benefit to our community.

All this is happening just in time for the biggest season of performing arts the Gardens has hosted to date. So take out your daily planners or calendars and start marking the dates for South Florida’s Cultural Arts Park Festival Season.

You can reach our box office at 1-877-496- 8499 or select-your-seats on line (single tickets only) by visiting pinecrestgardens.org. Remember that pre-concert dining is available on jazz nights and for reservations or menu information phone 305-669-6990.

An Evening with Branford Marsalis.
In his first appearance at the South Motors Jazz Series, National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master and renowned three-time Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis brings his extraordinary quartet for an evening of sizzling hot jazz. One of the most revered instrumentalists of his time, Branford has led a dizzying array of jazz ensembles from big bands to quartets and has been a frequent soloist with classical ensembles. He has performed with many of the jazz giants, including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock and Sonny Rollin; composed the soundtrack to Mo’Better Blues; and was the original bandleader for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Live jazz simply doesn’t get any better than when Branford and his innovative group take the stage.
