Local interior designer featured in new book

By Lee Stephens….

Sandi Samole

Sandi Samole, a Pinecrest resident, and her company S&B Interiors Inc. are featured in the 100 Florida Architects and Interior Designers hardcover book edited by Damir Sinovcic with a forward by Beth Dunlop.

100 Florida Architects and Interior Designers is a 460-page volume with stunning full color images that offers a fascinating insight into the current work of Florida’s creative design professionals. This is a striking compendium of designer portfolios.

Published by Design Book, the book presents the work of creative design professionals whose diverse backgrounds and design philosophies are shaping Florida’s guilt environment. The book showcases a vibrant cross-section of work that includes single-family homes, high-rise offices, luxury condominiums, hospitals, churches, museums, sports arenas, college campuses, airports and entire cities.

Samole, an award-winning interior designer, has headed her design firm for 30 years. Two of her projects are featured in the book. Her philosophy is one of creating a living sculpture for her clients regardless of the style of furnishings they prefer. Incorporated into her design work are detailed accessories and art. From the blueprint stage to completion, she always is looking for ways of bringing function to the art with which she enjoys working.

As a designer who has worked nationwide, Samole believes interior design should not be limited by the location of a project. Each client is entitled to the surroundings and lifestyle they are comfortable with regardless of where their home or office is located.

Through the use of textures, colors, fabrics, appropriate furniture and art the feeling of the warmth of Miami in January can be created  in a home located in a northern suburb of Chicago, or the coziness of a ski lodge created in a Florida residence. Samole and her design team have completed a long list of projects throughout Florida, Chicago, Boston, Colorado and Maine.

Samole has been named a Designer of the Year by the Interior Design Guild of South Florida and awarded the Design Spectrum Award for a Transitional Residence over 5,000 square feet by the American Society of Interior Designers. In addition, her work has been published in numerous magazines and books throughout the world.

Samole is a past president of the Interior Design Guild of South Florida, the Interior Design Association of Florida and has devoted countless hours to community service receiving the Jerry Shane Humanitarian Award for her efforts.

Interior Design and Space Planning is an art that takes years of experience and a wide variety of projects to perfect. Samole’s portfolio is not limited to residential projects as it includes synagogues, churches, retail stores, building renovations, professional offices and healthcare facilities.

For all your home or office design needs, her firm can take you from “Concept to Completion.” The creation of unique yet functional environments is the main thrust of her design philosophy.

Samole, along with her design team, provides great customer service to go along with their design skills. This service orientation takes the stress out of the building, remodeling or furnishing process.
