On Saturday, September 28, 2013, Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club (PPSC) celebrated its opening day kick-off event at Evelyn Greer Park thanks to the generous support of sponsors like TotalBank and other local businesses. Balloons, banners, refreshments and a photo booth added to the opening day festivities, bringing families from the community together.
“Each year we await the start of the fall session with great anticipation,” stated Renato Salazar, president of Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club and senior vice president at TotalBank. “Soccer is an excellent way for us to come together as a community. It provides young ones with an opportunity to not only acquire the technical skills of the sport, but instills team-building as well,” he added.
More than 1,375 local children enrolled in the program, many as young as four years of age, participated in matches throughout the day.
Pinecrest Premier’s recreation program for children ages 4-10 is the developmental arm of PPSC, created for children to have fun while learning good sportsmanship, acquiring knowledge of the game and improving skills.
