Here’s Pinecrest resident Steve Schwartz, commissioner of the Howard Palmetto Aces, with his wife Cindy Schwartz, at the top of the Hubert Glacier near Juno Alaska. Steve claims that he will travel to the ends of the earth to recruit players for his Howard Palmetto baseball team. Of course, he always takes along a copy of his favorite hometown newspaper.
