Miami’s Community Newspapers joined with Realtor Hal Feldman to sponsor a free seminar entitled Learn the Secrets of Selling Your Home. Publisher Grant Miller noted that Community Newspapers is in the business of community service and co-sponsoring the seminar was a natural extension for his company.
“I was happy to partner with Feldman on this event and bring the latest real estate information to our readership,” said Miller.
During the 90-minute seminar, the potential home sellers heard from an expert panel with a combined total of 125 years of real estate experience. They learned many components of selling, to avoid pitfalls and how to maximize their profit. The panel consisted of Feldman, a Realtor with RE/MAX Advance Realty; Elena Kemper, from Esslinger Wooten Maxwell; Joe Hernandez, with AKG Home Inspections; Philip Spool, a certified appraiser; Barry Simons, an attorney; and Steve Medina with HBG Title. The panel represented every facet of the residential real estate business.
“Most people will sell a home only once or twice in a lifetime and that sale is often the biggest financial transaction they’ll ever have,” said Feldman. “So it was satisfying to provide attendees with the help and knowledge they need to understand for each step of a real estate transaction and be 100 percent ready for selling their home.”
Feldman said anybody can put a sign in the front yard to sell their house, but only those truly educated and alert will succeed. The seminar showed people how to estimate the value of their home, how to market and show their property, how to gain leverage during negotiations and how to successfully close a sale.
“I had some hesitation about coming to the event,” said homeowner Charlotte Dison. “I thought it might be a hard-sell to list my home. To my pleasant surprise, there was none of that. The camaraderie between Hal Feldman and all the presenters made for an informative, pleasant evening.”
The next Learn the Secrets of Selling Your Home seminar is set for 6:30 p.m., June 23, at Romanza Restaurant/Quality Inn, 14501 S. Dixie Hwy, where an Italian dinner will be served. RSVP at miamihal.com/hssrsvp to reserve a seat.
