Local entrepreneur Richard Cipriano has forged a new partnership with Lillo Santagati, a popular chef and restaurateur, to expand the operation and menu offerings at Cipriano’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, formerly known as Cipriano’s Deli.
Marking the restaurant’s fourth anniversary in October, Cipriano says he is happy about the continued growth of his business. He says word-of-mouth has spread the word about his bistro throughout Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. “We are excited about our new partnership, as we have combined the best of each of our talents,” said Cipriano.
“We will bring our favorite recipes to our loyal customers at affordable prices. Lillo brings one of the most delicious pizza recipes to us; it has been passed down for generations in his family. Having known Lillo for more than 30 years, I actually grew up on his pizza and I can tell you first hand that it is the best Miami has to offer. Lillo was known as the go-to pizza guy in the old neighborhood.”
Coincidentally, the Cipriano and Santagati families are from the same small Sicilian town of Sciacca.
“Our coming together was a perfect fit,” said Santagati. “Moving forward, we will transition toward a full service pizzeria and restaurant in a casual fine dining atmosphere. We have been combining the best of the best of our families’ incredible recipes, even adding a twist to some of them. So far, the response from customers has been absolutely incredible.”
Under the new partnership, Cipriano’s has significantly expanded its menu options, adding a new pizza and more pasta options, including homemade meat lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, mussels marinara, clams linguini land baked ziti. There is also new indoor and outdoor seating, a new beer-and-wine bar and a 60-inch flat screen television set. They also offer take-out and delivery service, lunch specials and catering.
