Village police officers get LEO Foundation AwardPictured are Village officers Ivan Osores (left) and Michael Gorsline who were received the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) Foundation award and were given commemorative plaques at the organization’s 15th annual gala on March 7. Sgt. Gorsline was commended for outstanding work in Crime Prevention/Community Policing, helping to establish 13 Neighborhood Crime Watch groups during his tenure. Sgt. Osores received the LEO award for work in the Uniform Services Division category. He was instrumental in saving a woman’s life in a medical emergency in a Pinecrest Gardens restroom last year. The LEO Foundation annually honors men and women of the Miami-Dade County law enforcement community and works with the Miami-Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police.
