Paws 4 You Rescue’s first-ever Run Fur Fun 5K was such a hit last year that it’s back again on Sunday, April 26th. Last year, 465 smiling participants made up of families, health enthusiasts, and dog lovers from around Miami (many with their dogs by their sides) came out to show their support for homeless pets.

The rescue is hoping to see even more new faces this year as they take strides to save lives. This time, it will be a late afternoon affair at Killian Greens Golf Club and will include an officially timed race on a certified course for more serious runners. Participants have the option of walking or running a 5K or just one mile, but the best part is that dogs are welcome too! Participants who don’t have dogs, but wish they did can even borrow adoptable dogs from Paws 4 You’s Rent-A-Dog Booth.

After the race, participants can celebrate with their friends and families as they shop vendor goodies, indulge in tasty treats, and meet adoptable dogs from Paws 4 You Rescue. Each participant will receive food, refreshments, a pawsdrawstring backpack with a T-shirt and bandanna, and a medal while supplies last, so register now at www.paws4you.org/5k.  Proceeds benefit Paws 4 You Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, whose top priority is to save dogs from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services, where 27,000 unwanted pets end up each year.
