Sunset Elementary students show off their goody filled ‘I am the Maven’ bags

What began as self-fulfilling passion for founder Whitney Zimet, “I Am The Maven” has quickly become a “Go to Haven” for savvy moms looking for fabulous deals at the best local places.

Recently, 7,500 lucky students at 35 schools throughout South Miami-Dade County received the distinctive black and pink reusable bags reading “I Am The Maven.”

Highly recognized for their visible and unique logo, the ‘MavenBags’ contain extraordinary deals from ‘Maven- Approved’ businesses, while also serving as a sturdy, chic and reusable bag for on-the-go moms.

Sunset Elementary in South Miami distributed 1,200 ‘MavenBags’ to its students who “In addition to learning French, German and Spanish, are also learning the value of a dollar with savings from the MavenBag program,” said Tere Pujol Burns, lead teacher for the school’s International Studies Magnet Program.
