Sunset Elementary students show off their goody filled ‘I am the Maven’ bags

What began as self-fulfilling passion for founder Whitney Zimet, “I Am The Maven” has quickly become a “Go to Haven” for savvy moms looking for fabulous deals at the best local places.

Recently, 7,500 lucky students at 35 schools throughout South Miami-Dade County received the distinctive black and pink reusable bags reading “I Am The Maven.”

Sunset Elementary in South Miami distributed 1,200 ‘MavenBags’ to its students who “In addition to learning French, German and Spanish, are also learning the value of a dollar with savings from the MavenBag program,” said Tere Pujol Burns, lead teacher for the school’s International Studies Magnet Program.

“I Am The Maven” ’ selects groups of shops, restaurants, services and activities from reliable sources for its established network of local businesses that deliver highest quality in value, convenience, and a ‘fun factor’, as well as price, selection, and service.
