Buchwald Jewelers has an international reputation for selling quality jewelry and watches at competitive, affordable prices.
Located in the Seybold Building, 36 NE 1 St., in downtown Miami for more than 60 years, Buchwald Jewelers is a family-owned business founded in 1932 by Joseph Buchwald. Before settling in Miami, Buchwald owned jewelry stores in Antwerp, Atlantic City, New York and
Miami Beach. Marc Buchwald and his brother Jeff began managing the business 10 years ago, taking over from their uncle, Bobby Buchwald.
Marc Buchwald says he has always had a passion for the jewelry business and decided to make it his career after graduating the University of Florida.
“Our business serves thousands, both new and repeat customers,” he said. “News about our reputation, quality and pricing spreads through referrals from satisfied customers here in Miami, and in South America and Europe.”
Diamonds are a large part of the company’s business and as experts in the field and members of the Gemological Institute of America, the Buchwald team can assist you in the purchase of diamonds to celebrate any milestone in life. They will advise you about the “Five Cs” of diamonds — certification, carat, clarity, color and cut — and explore price options among thousands of diamonds available.
Buchwald Jewelers also sells the finest in classic and modern timepieces, offering such brands as Rolex, Ebel, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Baume & Mercier, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Gerard Perregaux and Techno Marine. They also offer an array of services, from appraisal to watch repair, and have the latest designs in fashion jewelry. They can also create custom jewelry or repair damaged new and antique items.
They will also buy your gold, diamonds, watches, collectibles, coins and artwork. And, as licensed and insured pawnbrokers and members of the National Pawnbrokers Association, Buchwald can offer low interest loans on your jewelry and watches.
When the Buchwald family members located the business in the Seybold Building in the 1960s, they initiated a trend that was followed by other jewelers.
The location was developed as a jewelry community in the 1970s. Eventually, it became the largest jewelers’ building in the state and the second-largest building dedicated to the jewelry business in the United States.
Buchwald Jewelers is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and complimentary valet parking is available.
