With the front of its store transformed into a Christmas wonderland, Ace Home Center on Red Road in South Miami officially kicked off the holiday season on Thursday, November 4th with its annual Customer Appreciation Event.

Customers attending the day-long celebration received a 10% discount on Christmas shop items and a 20% discount on all other store items while enjoying the festive atmosphere, warm greetings and refreshments offered by the Ace Home Center staff.

“This event is a way for us to give thanks to our customers,” said Ceci Rodriguez- Hitchcock, wife of Ace Home Center owner, Dan Hitchcock. “This is our favorite time of the year. Dan’s face lights up when he sees the store transformation and the customers’ joy as they see all of the new holiday items.”

The staff and designers at Ace Home Center will be helping customers create their own Christmas wonderland with one of a kind holiday ornaments, table top items, stockings, nutcrackers, nativity scenes, wreaths, garland, arches, floral accents and more. Holiday looks range from traditional, contemporary, tropical, whimsical and everything in between.

“We carry exclusive collectibles and items from popular brands such as Department 56, Mark Roberts and Fontanini,” Rodriquez- Hitchcock added. “Customers will also find unique gift items for everyone on their list.”

The Christmas shop is decked out with Christmas trees decorated in themes such as aquatic, angels, fairies, wine, 1960s, New Year’s Eve and traditional. These realistic trees come fully lighted in several heights and widths.

For a look that is definitely not traditional, there are upside-down wall, floor and fullsize Christmas trees. All of the themed trees are sure to offer inspiration, or can be exactly duplicated in your home by the Ace Home Center designers.

“Our design team is led by designer Mike Monroe, from Monroe Design, who has been in the business for 22 years and specializes in holiday designs and events for homes and hotels,” said Rodriguez-Hitchcock. “He will work with clients to transform their homes inside and out, using their own decorations or layering new pieces from the Christmas shop.”

Customers will also receive expert service from Ace Home Center sales specialists Sharon Levy and Betty Phillips, who is also the Christmas shop buyer. Sylvia Hitchcock Carson, Dan Hitchcock’s sister who grew up in Miami and as many locals know, was crowned Miss Universe in 1967, will be assisting customers in the store during the holidays.

“This business is really a family affair,” said Rodriguez-Hitchcock of the business that’s been in the Hitchcock family since 1959.

The Ace Home Center kitchen and bath, paint, and hardware experts will also assist customers with high impact, low-cost home improvement projects that can really spruce up a home for the entertaining season.
