Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, today hosted its 18th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Decorating Contest to benefit residents of the City of South Miami. More than 55 boxes filled with the makings for complete holiday meals were donated by employees and distributed to local families immediately following the event.
This year’s theme was “Landmarks around the World” and contest rules called for PEEPS® to be incorporated into dioramas. The Creative Services department won first place with its “Tower PEEPsa” (a.k.a. Tower of Pisa) entry. The diorama depicted a scene from the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) in Pisa, Italy, where PEEP visitors were taking selfies, riding Vespas, and feasting on a “Margherita PEEPszz.” One very fit PEEP even made it to the top of the tower.
Guest judges included City of South Miami officials Philip K. Stoddard, Ph.D., mayor; Walter Harris, vice mayor; Josh Liebman, commissioner; Shari Kamali, assistant city manager; Rene Landa, chief of police; and Louis Fata, major, police department.
