Hundreds of the community’s activists, business leaders and philanthropists are expected to be in attendance for the highly anticipated “Bridge to the Stars Arabian Nights” gala, the signature fundraising event for Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services Inc., Miami-Dade County’s only 24-hour emergency shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned youth.

Taking place Saturday, Mar. 14, 7:30 p.m., at The Temple House on Miami Beach, the special soirée is hailed as one of the most unique of the season — and the cause itself as one of the most pivotal in South Florida. This year’s edition will transport attendees to an enchanted, “can’t-miss” evening in the mystical setting of ancient Arabia.

“Year after year, with the help of countless supports and sponsors, our gala has raised pivotal funds toward the support of thousands of children and teenagers who have sought out our shelters in great need,” said Marlene Quintana, who is chairing the event for the fourth consecutive year. “Thanks to this kind of outpouring from the surrounding community, we have been able to provide critical refuge and care for these youth — but most importantly, hope.”

Annually, Miami Bridge shelters more than 1,000 youth and counsels more than 550 families. Services to youth in crisis include counseling, family counseling, mentoring, life-skill training and on-site Miami-Dade County Public School education. Funds raised through “Bridge to the Stars, Arabian Nights” will go toward bolstering that multi-pronged outreach.

Event goers of “Arabian Nights” not only will enjoy rich cuisine, music and vibrant sights and sounds inspired by the whimsical setting, but access to a silent auction and live entertainment. A single reservation is $175. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. at 1415 Euclid Ave. on Miami Beach. Attire is Miami Chic.
