Miami FC announces its latest sponsor, Macron

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and its local partners, along with lead sponsor Hospital Corporate of America (HCA), will host Hiring Our Heroes – Miami, a hiring fair for veterans and military spouses, on Thursday, Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Florida International University Arena, 11200 SW Eighth St.

More than 20 local and national employers are expected to participate with jobs available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience.

An 8:30 a.m. workshop will be led by HR and workforce professionals who will cover a variety of topics including resume building, networking, and interview tips. Immediately following the workshop, volunteer career coaches will be available to all jobseekers who want to develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create a more effective resume.

Interested job seekers should pre-register online at Veterans must provide proof of service.

This hiring event also is being supported by the Miami Chamber of Commerce, Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), Florida Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), American Legion, CareerSource Broward- Dade, and other local partners.

Working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, Hiring Our Heroes has helped hundreds of thousands of veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment through more than 950 job fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and on military installations overseas; a suite of free online careerbased resources, and the Hiring 500,000 Heroes campaign.
