The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and its local partners, along with lead sponsor Hospital Corporate of America (HCA), will host Hiring Our Heroes – Miami, a hiring fair for veterans and military spouses, on Thursday, Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Florida International University Arena, 11200 SW Eighth St.
More than 20 local and national employers are expected to participate with jobs available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience.
An 8:30 a.m. workshop will be led by HR and workforce professionals who will cover a variety of topics including resume building, networking, and interview tips. Immediately following the workshop, volunteer career coaches will be available to all jobseekers who want to develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create a more effective resume.

This hiring event also is being supported by the Miami Chamber of Commerce, Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), Florida Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), American Legion, CareerSource Broward- Dade, and other local partners.
Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment.
