In the spirit of art appreciation and our youth, NAFH National Bank launched its 2011 Young Artists Series at the Bank’s South Miami branch (7312 Red Road) on Thursday, March 3rd, featuring student artists from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. The exhibit continues for three weeks at the office.

Approximately 50 people attended a special reception held at the South Miami office. Gardner’s Market in South Miami provided delicious food and beverages.

Said Mari Colina, vice president and manager of NAFH National Bank’s South Miami office at the reception, “These students rarely get a chance to display their excellent works in a public setting. “So we are delighted to provide them with a venue to present their outstanding works. We welcome everyone – customers and general public alike – to stop by and see the artwork during regular office hours.”

The NAFH National Bank Young Artist Series features student artists from public and private schools in South Florida who display fine art including oils, charcoals, pastels and photography in bank offices. Previously, the Young Artists Series has hosted student exhibits from Coral Gables Senior High School, Palmer Trinity School, Gulliver Preparatory School, South Miami Senior High School and Krop Senior High School at various bank offices.

Said Our Lady of Lourdes Academy art teacher Yudit Perez, “Exhibiting their artwork at the Bank’s South Miami office is a wonderful opportunity for our student artists to showcase their talent and gain confidence. From all of us at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, we thank NAFH National Bank for this opportunity and their generosity.”
