  1. Donna,

The city would love to control and silence those that speak up and out, which includes all of us , including you and me.
    Well, that ain't gonna happen!

Not only is your right to speak up , it is your obligation to speak up loudly and often.

Make sure you are heard and make those son of a guns rememeber that they don't own city hall that it belongs to all of us.

    Michael Miller

  2. If had known that the City of South Miami's City Commission would improve solely on the basis of the quality of the South Miami News, I wouldn't have wasted my time urging our elected officials to act more like public servants and less like self-serving egomaniacs. Come on, Mr. Miller, help us get a better government and restrict your paper to items that deal only with shallow, non-confrontational and "feel-good" news!

  3. This is the same commission that turned down a gift of land and probably one of the oldest houses in South Florida for a public park. They said they could not afford it, after the Mayor of South Miami's wife was all exited about making the old house on Snapper Creek Drive more offices with parking for the City of South Miami. This land and house is presently in unincorporated Dade County and would have added a much needed park to the community. So much, for the M
ayor and the City Council. If South Miami did not have Community Newpaper there would be no newspaper and the people of South Miami would not recieve local news. Kudos to the Millers and long live Community Newspapers!!
