Lorenzo Frias is Vice President of Miami’s branch of Sundek, a company that does amazing things with plain concrete floors, specializing in decorative concrete coatings and repairs.
“We decorate any solid floor, indoor or outdoor,” says Frias. “We transform a regular floor into a piece of art. It will be a long-lasting surface. We do both residential and commercial projects.”
Frias has been in the area and working with Sundek since 1990, and has done projects from North Miami all the way down to Key West. He worked his way up with the company, starting as a helper, then a mechanic, then a supervisor, a manager and now a Vice President.
“I focus on customer service,” says Frias. “You will have a personal service. We manufacture our product, so you will have an exclusive product. The Sundek system allows different colors, textures and design to be added to existing old or new concrete. It is used on floors, driveways, pool decks, commercial areas, retail spaces, garages and more, and is a cost effective way to repair, renovate or improve the “curb appeal” or overall look of property.
He recently did a project for Ludlam Plaza, and when customer Madeline Getty got him a picture of a slate fireplace and wanted that design duplicated on her floor he was able to match the look.
Frias stresses that all employees are professionals trained to become Sundeck artisans. All employees are in-house, they don’t use sub-contractors. The Sundek systems are methods that have been perfected over four decades and allow repairs to unsightly concrete floors and patios while beautifying the surface with a custom and artistic design.
