Chief Ian Moffett graduates from FBI National Academy

Miami-Dade Schools Police Department (M-DSPD) Chief Ian A. Moffett joined 230 law enforcement officers in the graduation ceremonies from the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) National Academy Program at Quantico, VA.

The 262nd session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 47 states, which included law enforcement agencies from the District of Columbia, 27 international countries, four military organizations and two federal civilian organizations.

Invitation to participate in the National Academy is extended to leaders and managers of state and local police, sheriffs’ departments, military police organizations, and federal law enforcement agencies. Internationally known for its academic excellence, the program offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected personnel as professionals within their agencies. Almost 50,000 graduates now represent the alumni of the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935.
