Coconut Grove Arts Festival returns Feb. 13 - 15

Coconut Grove Arts Festival returns Feb. 13 - 15The Coconut Grove Arts Festival (CGAF) has announced that Miami New Times will once again be providing three days of live entertainment at its main stage in Peacock Park during this year’s 53rd annual event, taking place Presidents’ Days Weekend, February 13-15, 2016. The partnership, now in its second year, was confirmed today by Monty Trainer, president of the Arts Festival and Adam Simon, publisher of Miami New Times.

“Each year we like to introduce elements to our programming that can offer our festival patrons something engaging and different from their previous experience,” said Trainer. “Sometimes these new programs are so successful they become staples at CGAF. The three-day series of live music curated by Miami New Times is definitely one of our attendees’ newest favorites! We look forward to announcing the music line-up in a few weeks.”

Considered among America’s most popular and highly-regarded outdoor, fine art exhibitions, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival has inspired visual, culinary and performing arts for more than 50 years. The event will showcase the works of more than 360 of North America’s most talented and creative artists.

“We are very excited about this year’s partnership,” said Simon. “New Times has the pulse of the local music scene, and by curating the music lineup, we hope to put a spotlight on one of the many elements that make up this great festival.”
