Property Manager Ada Hernandez and Assistant Manager Helen White welcomed Vice Mayor Lewis Thaler and residents of Marian Towers for the unveiling of the building’s new Seaside Mural.

International artist and sculptor Carlos Escudero donated his time and materials to paint the beach themed mural which is reflective of the City of Sun and Sea, Sunny Isles Beach. Mr. Escudero’s mother is a resident of Marian Towers. She is very proud of her son’s design and contribution to the community.

Mr. Escudero was born in Columbia and learned his trade from his father. He paints murals for private residents as well as large corporations. His background also includes parades and float designs. He worked on floats for the legendary Rose Bowl parade for many years along with parades in New Orleans and Key West. He presently works from his North Miami Beach studio and creates mural designs and antique restoration.

Marian Towers hosted a reception for residents with a carnival theme with cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and music. Residents had their photos taken in front of the new seaside mural which is as pretty as a postcard.
