The City’s Summer Camp Fun Off to a Great Start

The City of Sunny Isles Beach Summer Day Camps are well under way and every day brings tons of fun for our campers. Camp activities include arts & crafts, indoor games, outdoor sports, themed-activities, and for most camps, field trips. New youngsters are often teary-eyed the first couple of days, but once they realize what a great place this can be for them, they don’t want to go home.

Some of the field trips this year include enjoying a kite day at Haulover Beach, the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, the Davie Pro Rodeo, Miami Shores Aquatic Center, Rapids Water Park, Revo Soccer (Indoor glow-in-the-dark soccer complex), Venetian Pool, Zoo Miami, and much more! Fun daily activities and competitions are included at all age levels that exercise the muscles as well as the mind. Campers go home tired and happy looking forward to what the next day will bring.

Although we provide a snack daily for our campers, lunch is not provided on most days. We know how hectic mornings can be for a family, trying to get your child and yourself ready, prepare lunch, all while getting out of the house on time. For your convenience, a new feature at Pelican Community Park is our concession stand vendor, Snack Time LLC. Parents can pre-purchase lunch through the concession stand, to alleviate the stress of preparing lunch each day. Various options are available (1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, or 5 days). Options are varied, and include healthy treats as well.
