The Curtain falls on the final Four Season’s 2010 – 11 Cultural Series

By Susan Simpson….
Encore! Encore! The International String Quartet closed out the 2010 – 2011 Four Season’s Cultural Series to a standing ovation and a call for one more song on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. This Summer Season show featured exceptional local talent that rarely have an opportunity to perform together but when they do, it is musical magic. And our guests were certainly entranced!

Deya Deynova, our featured Cellist, brought this group of four together for this evening event working closely with Paul Strassburg; the Violist, founder of the International String Quartet, and our master of ceremonies for the evening that added an understanding to the music we enjoyed so much. Our Violinists, Liubov Ohrimenko on 1st Violin and Stuart Macdonald on 2nd Violin performed masterfully.

“This was a beautiful evening! I knew every song. I come to all of the concerts and I wish there were more just like it!” exclaimed Manny Radnick who attends the concerts with Joe Masters and Nancy Leyton. And he is not the only one. As we close out our second season of the Four Season’s Cultural Series we find that attendance continues to rise. Vice Mayor Lewis Thaler explains why, “The word is spreading that we host exceptional quality performances in this series. And with the Artist Meet and Greet after each performance, in a way you get more from our intimate events than you do at a large scale performance.”

Use your resident ID card to purchase the full 4-series package for the 2011 – 2012 Four Season’s Cultural Series and you will enjoy 4 concerts for the price of three.
