The Miami Dadeland Pinecrest Rotary Club awarded scholarships on Wednesday, June 1st 2016. Principal Victoria Dobbs, welcomed the distinguished members of Rotary Club of Miami-Dadeland-Pinecrest to Miami Palmetto Senior High School. The Rotary Club, led by President Howard Horowitz, and accompanied by Rotarians Ms. Donna Genet and Dr. Bruce Seaton, awarded scholarships to four deserving students of Miami Palmetto Senior High School for their outstanding service to the community.

Financial awards were given to Ms. Kayla Spigelman, Pres. of Miami Palmetto’s Interact Club and Silver Knight Award winner for Science, Ms. Lia Comparini, Interact Club Treasurer, LeMarion Williams and Morgan Lang.

“I am so proud of what these students have accomplished. They represent the finest of what Miami Palmetto has to offer. We are all very proud of their commitment and dedication to their community,” Principal Victoria Dobbs said.

“I’m so happy for these kids. We’ve all seen them mature into productive and socially responsible citizens, and it’s great to see them recognized for their achievements,” said Harry Nerenberg, Miami Palmetto’s College Advisor.

Miss Kayla Spigelman will be attending the University of Virginia in the Fall. Both LeMarion Williams and Morgan Lang will be traveling to Washington D.C. To attend college. Mr. Williams will be attending Howard University and Miss Lang will be at American University. Miss Lia Comparini is eager to attend the University of Florida.
