Broward County’s Yellow Dot Program

YellowDot-BannerAs of February 2016, Broward County will officially launch The Yellow Dot Motorist Medical Information Program. The Yellow Dot program is designed to assist Broward County residents and first responders in the critical moments after a motor vehicle accident or any other medical emergency involving the participants vehicle.

Residents who participate in the program will receive a pamphlet to fill out with details about medical conditions or medications that may be pertinent information for emergency responders. They will receive the Yellow Dot decal which should be displayed on the rear windshield or in a clearly visible location on a motorcycle. This decal will alert emergency responders to look for the Yellow Dot pamphlet in the vehicle’s glove compartment. The personal data and medical information provided on the pamphlet will help emergency personnel decide how to treat a person who may be unconscious following an accident.

The Yellow Dot Program can help save your life! Residents who are interested in participating in the program will need to register to receive the Yellow Dot to place on their vehicle(s). The Yellow Dot allows emergency responders access to the vehicle’s global compartments for medical information.
