This week marks the nationwide release of “Choreology Basic,” an energizing new book by author Michel Jacques.
“Choreology Basic” is a book that will reconnect people to the basic and rejuvenating arts of music and dancing. People’s hearts often burst with the fullness of treasured moments as they continue on this exciting journey called life. Most of the time, they forget to stop and realize that God creates each one to be happy and content, to be capable of inner wisdom, and to count his or her blessings.
Music leads the body to move and dance and becomes an inspiration toward keeping a healthy body and soul. Dancing has been a connecting golden thread between people of all countries. Dance has continued to nourish souls in the direction of happiness, good health, faith and serenity. There is always and forever the joy of the music and dance. The author encourages his readers to visit this joy in “Choreology Basic.”
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/
In 1984, Jacques moved to the United States to pursue and further develop a career in film directing. Aside from that he was also invited to join the Arthur Murray Board of Ballroom Dance educators in its rigorous teaching training program. His career brought him in contact with the owner of one of the largest ballroom/nightclubs in South Florida, Kay’s Starlite Ballroom, Inc. in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
Through this establishment, he helped unite the Haitian community to celebrate their ethnic and cultural unity. He also started developing a multicultural club organization where people from all ethnic backgrounds will have the chance to show their cultural diversity through the art of ballroom dancing. Eventually, Jacques founded the New Millennium Ballroom College, which seeks to include dance as a fundamental part of education in the school system.
