Olga Connor, director of the Office of Communication and Legislative Affairs with the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, received the 2015 West Perrine Martin Luther King Jr. Champion Award during the 34th annual West Perrine Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration Breakfast on Jan.15.
The honor is given to an individual whose work has made a positive difference in the community.
“I am extremely proud to have Ms. Connor as part of our team,” said Lillian Rivera, RN, MSN, PhD, administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County. “Ms. Connor is welldeserving of this award. She has a long career in public health and has played a key role in advocating for the citizens of Miami-Dade County.”
