Hammocks officer honored by CAC for lifesaving rescueInstant action that saved an elderly wheelchair-bound woman from possible death earned Miami-Dade Police Hammocks District Officer of the Month honors for Eugenio Roque (center) on Jan. 28, presented by Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) chair James Blough (left) and Maj. Arnold Palmer. Officer Roque entered a burning Kendall residence on Nov. 19, 2014 to bring an 86-year-old woman to safety after she had fallen from her wheelchair and lay helpless on the living room floor of the home.
