On Friday, February 20th, the Chamber honored nine first responders at its quarterly Pillar breakfast at the Alexander Ocean Front Hotel. Every day, City of Miami Beach first responders help protect our families and businesses from crime and keep our streets safe. The Chamber and City of Miami Beach honored the following heroes: Officer Ysidro Llamoca; Officer Earl Hackworth; Officer Christina O’Neal; Detective Wayne Holbrook; Communications Operator Raul Jorge; Fire Captain Adonis Garcia; Fire Captain Michael Yoder; Ocean Rescue Lifeguard Carlos Escuerdo and Ocean Rescue Lifeguard Ozzie Garcia.
It was truly amazing to see over 200 business leaders and residents within our community honor these individuals that risk their lives every day. I’d be remiss if we didn’t thank the following businesses that sponsored a first responder; Rennert International; Boucher Brothers; Tropical Chevrolet; Collins Park Neighborhood Association; Normandy Shores Home Owners Association; North Beach Development Corporation; Coalition For Causeway Chaos; Resorts World Bimini and Mango’s Tropical Café.
On another note, please remember to RSVP for the City National Bank Better Beach Awards. Held on March 19th, at the Loews Hotel, this event recognizes the contributions of members of the real estate community in Miami Beach. Organized by the Chamber’s Real Estate Council, headed by Reinaldo Borges/President and CEO Borges & Associates, it is one of our most popular events. You can read more about the event on our front page story and you can RSVP by calling the Chamber at 305-674-1300.
Best Regards,
