South Miami Police Chief Rene Landa who has been actively working together with the community, has reinstituted the Police Chaplain Program.
Pastor Rodney James, of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, was sworn in recently as the new Police Chaplain for the South Miami Police Department. Chief Landa presented Pastor James with a gold badge and read him the oath of office.
The Dade County PBA, Mr. Stedman Stahl, was also there in attendance to present Pastor James with a certificate of appreciation for his outstanding support of the law enforcement profession.
