From the creators of the celebrated Coral Gables restaurant Bulla Gastrobar, Pisco y Nazca has opened in the The Palms at Town and Country Center in Kendall.

Combining a high-energy vibe and the attention to detail they are known for, Pisco y Nazca offers uniquely authentic Peruvian dining. Having spent time in Peru immersing themselves in the culture, the team behind Pisco y Nazca has experienced the passion and pride of Peru, which is evident in the restaurant’s design, cuisine and atmosphere.

The name stems from the Peruvian saying “Entre Pisco y Nazca,” meaning having fun and enjoying the company of friends and loved ones in a social atmosphere — exactly what the restaurant intends to create.

Pisco y Nazca will be a vibrant home away from home, enticing guests to return often.

The restaurant evokes a casual, trendy and fun atmosphere with sophisticated design elements by renowned New York-based Celano Design Studios, known for its inviting and impressive designs such as STK and Bagatelle in Miami. Drawing inspiration from the textures and colors of Peru’s landscape, the restaurant features earthy copper tones, teal and orange accents, rich walnut flooring, and handmade concrete tiles.

The restaurant’s energetic ambiance provides an exciting setting to experience Pisco y Nazca’s delectable menu. The open design of the restaurant, which will create a free flowing space between the dining room and the outdoor patio, will allow guests to easily move throughout the space and socialize with friends and family. The extensive bar will feature a large chandelier-like bottle display and custom-designed bar stools, great for after work cocktails or a Saturday night date.

The dining room will feature two private rooms equipped with complimentary built-in screens and LCD projectors for corporate or social groups up to 50. The indoor/outdoor space is inviting and approachable, providing experience or a casual night out, with a comfortable and pleasing environment to enjoy cocktails and share a meal.

“We find inspiration for new concepts through our travels and exploration of new cultures,” said Juan Carlos Marchan, vice president and concept founder. “The team was blown away by the passion and love for food in Peru and we want to showcase that at Pisco y Nazca. We are bringing that passion to Miami through Chef Miguel’s incredible menu, the restaurant’s design and welcoming atmosphere.

He said they are planning to open another location in Downtown Doral in early 2016, as well as another Bulla Gastrobar location.

Executive chef Miguel Fernandez, formerly of Gaston Acurio’s La Mar in San Francisco, will lead the all-star culinary team, comprised of chef partner Ryan Smith, previously executive chef at Barton G and sous chefs Fernando Salazar and Michael Elias from sister restaur Peruvian cuisine and ambitious spirit.

Each chef brings his unique talent to the team to create and implement the gastrobar menu. The shareable menu is divided into three sections: Ceviches, Small Plates and Large Plates.

With nearly 10 different ceviches, Pisco y Nazca exceeds a typical ceviche menu with options including Nikkei [Japanese], ahi tuna, mirin, soy sauce wasabi peas, cucumbers, chanchaca leche de tigre and wonton-sesame crips and Chifa [Chinese], corvina, pickled daikons and carrots, fried wontons and sesame oil.

Large plate highlights include Pasta Macho, squid ink noodles, clams, mussels, shrimp, corvine, rich macho sauce and parmesan and Que Bestia Burger, eight-ounce C.A.B. on a pretzel bun, tomato-panca chutney, rocoto pepper aioli and shoestring potato fries.

Traditional Peruvian dishes also are a proud part of the impressive menu including Lomo Saltado, stir-fry filet mignon, soy sauce, vinegar, onions, tomato wedges and arroz con choclo and Chaufa, shrimp, calamari, chifa fried rice, pickled vegetables and salsa criolla. Pisco y Nazca is located at 8405 Mills Dr., Suite 206, in The Palms at Town and Country.

Pisco y Nazca is open daily for lunch and dinner. Small plates range from $8 to $12 and large plates average between $15 to $23. For more information, visit online at http://piscoynazca.com or call 305-630-3844.
