The Humane Society of Greater Miami’s recent 2016 Walk for the Animals could not have been a more purr-fect day to celebrate and raise money for the cats and dogs in need.
More than 3,000 people of all ages and their doggies gathered at Bayfront Park early in the morning to enjoy a day filled with yummy treats, exciting doggie and people contests, live entertainment and a scenic walk, all to benefit the homeless animals of our community.

The Doggie Fun Zone had dozens of eager pups dazzling the crowd with their athleticism and agility, and the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team left the audience in awe as the talented canines performed jaw-dropping, high-flying disk routines.
This event brought families, friends and companies with a passion for animals together to raise money to help our furry friends. Walk participants also had the chance to meet adoptables and seven found their forever families. Through the many generous donations and fundraising efforts of committed individuals, families and packs, this year’s Walk for the Animals was a great success raising more than $100,000.
