Fifteen young adults with Nature Links, a nonprofit organization for students with mid-to-greater range special needs, recently enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with nature and fascinating animals at Jungle Island. As part of the half-day program, participants gained unique insight into the job of a trained animal specialist, while interacting with creatures such as Australian red kangaroos, lemurs from Madagascar and giant Aldabra tortoises from Seychelles.
