Suffolk Construction recently hosted five students in the Construction Management program at FIU’s OHL School of Construction Management. The students visited Jade Signature, a 55-story, 192-unit, luxury condominium building that will be the largest residential tower on Sunny Isles Beach. It is a complex, which includes a below-grade garage, and requires innovative technologies and smart building techniques, which the students were able to learn about see firsthand. The students also learned about Suffolk’s core values, its new safety programs, smart box communication, Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, and the Suffolk Cares program. At the end of the visit, Suffolk’s senior superintendent, Chris Smith, along with Suffolk employees who are FIU alumni, took the students on a tour of the construction site.
