Miami Palmetto Senior High’s Special Olympics Unified 5v5 Basketball team won the 2017 State Basketball South Championship in Tavares, Feb. 10-11. The team played two hard-fought games and brought back the gold medal. Palmetto Senior has strong Special Olympics teams in a variety of sports led by Dr. Sandra Tilton.
