Yolanda Rossi’s warmth, smile, and winning personality touched so many lives that it is appropriate to share this tribute, written beautifully by her husband, Carlos Rossi, owner of Angelique Euro Café, the site of so many charity events and special moments for the community.
Angelique’s ‘Chief’ Angel departs for a better opportunity!
It’s with great sadness, and at the same time spiritual comfort, that we announce that my beloved wife, partner and best friend, Yolanda Jordana Rossi, departed from her earthly belonging on Apr. 3, 2017.
Yolanda, as some may know, had been bravely battling breast cancer for three years. Her body finally gave out, but her spirit remains with us at Angelique as well as with her family, friends and guests.
Yolanda, or “Yoli” as everyone knew her, was one of those exceptional go-getters from her days as a TV pioneer, to group publisher of magazines, to her most recent venture with her baby, Angelique.
Angelique was a dream of having both Yolanda and Carlos work together and create a special place for family, friends, employees and guests. Yolanda’s Angelique has become that special place she always wanted where everyone celebrates that personal occasion, and where great, lasting memories are created that span generations. Angelique truly is the “Little Miracle on the Mile.”
Yolanda made us promise to keep Angelique alive for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.
We will miss her feisty demeanor, her infectious smile, her hearty laugh, her smarts and, most of all, her generous heart with everyone she met. Yolanda’s Angelique always will have her spirit here and it will shine through in everything we do.
I will miss you every second of the day, my beloved. But I know you will be whispering in my ear providing sustenance for my spirit and comfort for my soul. Rest in peace. Heaven has a new “Angel” who will stir things up!
Yolanda’s Angelique and all of our family members thank you for all your kind words.
We will celebrate her life with a special cocktail to be held at Angelique Euro Cafe on Monday, May 1, 5:30-8:30 p.m. All of our guests and friends are invited.
— Carlos Rossi
